International Handshake

Introducing International Handshake



     Anyone who has traveled, particularly those who have spent some time living in a different culture knows that such an experience is very broadening.  It opens up new perspectives, helps you to understand the way others think, and it helps you to review your own culture and ideas from a much better perspective.




     We have been attempting to bring that experience to people who have not been able to live overseas, and to enhance the experience for foreigners in our are by hosting international activities.  These activities are designed to be an opportunity to connect with others across a cultural divide.  They also help to address problems in society such as loneliness, fear, isolation, depression, etc.


     We have called our circle "International Handshake".  You can visit our website for more details of our activities, and plenty of photographs at interhand.org .  You might even find it worthwhile to start up something similar in your area!
